Amiri Baraka:breaking news

Amiri Baraka

Amiri Baraka (born Everett LeRoi Jones; October 7, 1934 – January 9, 2014), formerly known as LeRoi Jones and Imamu Amear Baraka, was an American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays and music criticism. He was the author of numerous books of poetry and taught at a number of universities, including the State University of New York at Buffalo and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Baraka's poetry and writing has attracted both extreme praise and condemnation. Within the African-American community, some compare him to James Baldwin and call Baraka one of the most respected and most widely published Black writers of his generation. Others have said his work is an expression of violence, misogyny, homophobia and racism. Baraka's brief tenure as Poet Laureate of New Jersey (2002–03), involved controversy over a public reading of his poem "Somebody Blew Up America?" and accusations of anti-semitism, and some negative attention from critics, and politicians.
Baraka received honors from a number of prestigious foundations, including: fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Langston Hughes Award from the City College of New York, the Rockefeller Foundation Award for Drama, an induction into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Before Columbus Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.
Amiri Baraka died on January 9, 2014, at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, after being hospitalized in the facility's intensive care unit for one month prior to his death. The cause of death was not reported initially, but it is mentioned that Baraka had a long struggle with diabetes. Later reports indicated that he died from complications after a recent surgery. Baraka's funeral was held at Newark Symphony Hall on January 18, 2014.

The logo of Japan Soft Tennis Association

I would like to explain Japan Soft Tennis Association this time. This group is the organization which is performing synthetic management and management of soft tennis. First of all, I give explanation about the card of qualification which this organization is giving. If you do not have this card, it cannot participate in the formal convention etc. which Japan Soft Tennis Association sponsors. Therefore, this card is a ticket for participating in a convention for a tennis player. From here, they are the cautions about this card. You have to update this card every year. A player registration card is valid for one year. And it carries out updating procedure in spring. At the junior high school and the high school, it has registered collectively in school. Even if it is a regular-season game, a card may not be required of where is sponsoring. If it is only an association of a city or a town, qualification is unnecessary, but in a prefectural convention, it is required. Moreover, not only player registration but the 2nd class referee's qualification is required. Japan Soft Tennis Association has also defined the rule in a regular-season game strictly. For example, the act which the self must not carry out the attitude or play to which an enemy player becomes unpleasant as a player's mental attitude, and becomes the hindrance of advance of a game is not carrying out etc. The league is defined to a fundamental thing and peculiar to tennis. Regulation of instruments, such as racket shoes the way of a referee, how to move a player, etc. are defined by the soft tennis league. Even though it merely does a referee, the rank is provided also in the referee, and in order to participate in the convention of a higher rank, you have to obtain the qualification corresponding to it. Also in the usage standard of tools, the soft tennis league is defined strictly. For example, it does not accept exposing and wearing from a uniform except for the neck about wear of underwear. If it is decided that a mark is red if it is a ball of Showa Rubber and it is a ball of NagseKenkou, it is decided that a mark is a cherry color. In addition, it is defined that a racket, a gut, shoes, and a net are also the makers of league official recognition. Japan Soft Tennis Association has defined a technical grade besides these.
